Clinical Embryology

With over two decades of devoted experience in the field, my commitment to medically assisted reproduction and genetics has been a privilege and a passion. My journey commenced in 1996 as a Clinical Embryologist at The Wolfson Clinic’s IVF Unit, within the esteemed Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Hammersmith Hospital in London, UK. Those early days laid the foundation for my love of embryology and cultivated a deep appreciation for its intricate complexities.

When I returned to my home country, I began working as a Clinical Embryologist at the Centre for Human Reproduction in Athens. This institution also housed IVF units at the Mitera Maternity Clinic and the satellite IVF Medsana Unit in Bucharest, Romania, where my expertise was shared, enriching my experiences. In 2004, the Centre for Human Reproduction transformed into the Reproductive Medicine Unit at Genesis Athens Clinic, where I have since assumed pivotal roles.

I currently serve as the Laboratory Director of the Preimplantation Genetic Testing Laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art technology that ensures the highest standards of care for our patients. Working as a Senior Embryologist  in our dynamic IVF laboratory, I’ve amassed a wealth of experience while addressing diverse and complex cases. Beyond my clinical commitments, I took on the role of Quality Manager from 2014 to 2020, wholeheartedly embracing an unwavering commitment to excellence. Moreover, I am actively engaged in educational initiatives, playing a significant role in empowering future professionals.

My journey, marked by a continuous quest for knowledge and excellence, has solidified my standing as a professional in the field. I take pride in witnessing the industry’s remarkable evolution and actively contributing to its transformative journey with our innovative research. Each passing year strengthens my dedication to pushing the boundaries of assisted reproductive technology, with the hope that it will bring rays of joy and the fulfillment of dreams to those who have yearned for it the most.
