Academic Background

First-class B.Sc. (Hons) in Cell and Molecular Biology

Institution: Faculty of Life Sciences, Kingston University, Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey, UK

Description: My academic journey commenced with an insatiable curiosity, delving into the intricate mechanisms governing cellular and molecular processes. This path led me to earn a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. In 1995, I proudly graduated with First-Class Honors from Kingston University in Kingston upon Thames, United Kingdom, laying the foundation for my expertise in this captivating field. During my undergraduate studies, I actively participated in research projects, including my BSc. Research Project at The Rayne Institute, Richard Dimblely Laboratory of Cancer Virology, St Thomas Hospital, London, UK, where I explored the “Specificity of epitope-defined polyclonal antibodies to Human Papillomavirus type 6L1 and L2 proteins.”

M.Sc. in Human Reproductive Biology

Institution: University of London, Royal Postgraduate School, affiliated with Imperial College London, London, UK

Description: My academic path continued as I sought to specialize in the captivating realm of human reproductive medicine. In 1996, I successfully completed a distinguished Master of Science (MSc) program in Human Reproductive Medicine at the prestigious Royal Postgraduate Medical School, affiliated with Imperial College London, University of London. This intensive program equipped me with a profound understanding of the intricacies of human reproduction and provided me with invaluable practical skills. My MSc. Research Project, conducted at the Department of Molecular Biology of Fetal Medicine, Queens Charlottes Hospital, London, UK, was entitled “Investigation of the sensitivity of the polymerase chain reaction and southern blotting techniques in detection of low-grade mosaic trisomy 16 in placenta cells.”

Ph.D. in Medical Genetics (With Distinction)

Institution: Faculty of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Athens, Greece

Description: My unwavering commitment to advancing knowledge and fostering innovation led me to pursue a Ph.D. in Medical Genetics at the renowned Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. My doctoral research focused on the development and optimization of blastocyst biopsy techniques for human preimplantation embryos. This work aimed to conduct molecular analysis, illuminating the intricate relationship between molecular substrates and the implantation process within the context of Medically Assisted Reproduction. My Ph.D. Research Project was titled “Optimization of blastocyst biopsy techniques for multiplex molecular analysis and determination of the molecular profile compatible with successful implantation.” In 2013, I proudly earned my Doctoral degree with distinction, solidifying my expertise in the dynamic field of medical genetics.

My educational journey stands as a testament to my unwavering dedication to continuous learning and growth.
I maintain professionalism while infusing a personal touch into every facet of my work.
It’s about assisting individuals in achieving their aspirations while staying true to my values
